Fergie admits make-up is her ”passion”.
The Black Eyed Peas singer has teamed up with beauty brand Wet n Wild to come up with her own line of products, and she insists her cosmetics will be of a very high standard because of her knowledge of make-up.
She said: ”Make-up is a personal passion of mine, so I made sure that I touched and curated every single product in this collection to ensure we are offering the highest quality formulas, textures and shades available.”
She added: ”This was probably the most organic partnership I could have ever imagined. Wet n Wild, its owner, Eric Chen, and I come from the exact same place, a neighbourhood in LA called Hacienda Heights. I was Wet n Wild’s target customer while growing up, and now I have a chance to be part of its evolution. Creating a luxury product which is very affordable has been such an amazing journey for us. I’m extremely excited to be taking my partnership with Wet n Wild further by creating a complete make-up line that every woman can wear.”
Meanwhile, the 38-year-old star admits she can’t live without her nude lipstick and makes sure she carries it around with her every day in order to keep her lips hydrated.
She explained to Ireland’s U magazine: ”I always keep a Fergie Daily Lipstick with me. It’s a great nude that you can wear every day. Hence the name. I also keep moisturiser on hand – with all the travelling I do, I’m always hydrating. Hydrated skin also hold make-up the most evenly.” [Source]
In the late summer of 2006, Fergie released her erroneously-spelled, debut solo album, The Dutchess. It would spawn more than a few hits, including “London Bridge,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Glamorous,” “Fergalicious” and “Clumsy,” and the album itself would go triple platinum. Fergie was on top of the world; she re-ignited America’s interest in spelling and Milo Ventimiglia shirtless. And then, nothing. In the seven years that have followed, Fergie has released 0 solo albums and only one solo single, “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody,” which I think we can all agree wasn’t exactly, well, fergalicious.
But all that’s in the past and now we have a new Fergie solo record to look forward to. At least, that’s what she claims in a new interview with Ryan Seacrest.
“[Will.i.am] knows that I want to do a solo album next, I think everyone knows that,” Fergie told the DJ. “The Dutchess was comprised of songs that were from a seven year period and a lot of people don’t know that. I’ve been writing down my ideas. I’ve been just in my cave, my little creative cave, and the ideas come when they come and that’s the beauty of it — so not forced. So when I do come out with my album, I’m going to be really proud of it.” Read full article.
Singer Fergie believes that motherhood is an amazing journey, and says that the experience of family life is getting better for her every day.
The 38-year-old welcomed her first child, son Axl, in August with actor-husband Josh Duhamel.
“It’s been such an amazing journey for Josh and I so far, and each day gets more exciting,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted Fergie as saying.
The “Glamorous” hitmaker was back in the gym less than three months after giving birth to her baby in order to lose her post-pregnancy weight. Despite springing right back into shape, the blonde beauty says she still worries about her body.
“Let’s be truthful, who doesn’t have insecure moments. On stage or on the red carpet, it’s important to own your look and remember who you are,” Fergie said. [Source]
