Black Eyed Peas singer and founder of Jeepney Music apl.de.ap has pledged immediate aid for victims of the typhoon that swept through Manila recently, and is asking people from around the world to assist the thousands affected. Apl, a native to the Philippines and the creative ambassador to country, requests those interested in helping victims to donate through the Apl Foundation relief fund by logging onto www.jeepneymusic.com. Apl.de.Ap says, “My heart is broken to see so many of my Filipino brothers and sisters hurt by this disaster. We must all bond together and move forward to restore the city we hold dear. I’m asking the global community for their support and donations to assist the thousands of Filipinos affected by this tragedy.” [Source] |

ULTRA cool rock frontwoman and fashion icon Fergie touched down with her band The Black Eyed Peas in Sydney last night ahead of their Australian tour.
The band flew to Australia on the private jet of Virgin boss Richard Branson before attending a press conference for New York-based Australian photographer Russell James . The US band will attend a private gig and perform at two Sydney concerts on Friday and Saturday nights. The band’s first Aussie gig will be in Brisbane on Thursday night and will see Fergie back pushing the boundaries of fashion, something she was asked to consider last Friday night when she dressed modestly in T-shirt and jeans for a gig before a predominantly Muslim crowd in Kuala Lumpur.
