Fergie and her husband Josh Duhamel apparently feel they are in a ‘brilliant’ place to start a family.

The Black Eyed Peas singer, real name Stacy Ferguson, recently announced she is expecting a baby with her actor spouse. Rumours had circulated for weeks that the singer was pregnant, and she finally confirmed the news via an announcement on her Twitter page.

Those close to the 37-year-old star claim she is happy to put her partying days behind her and embrace motherhood.
‘Fergie feels she’s finally ready to become a mom,’ a source told British magazine Closer. ‘She and Josh have been through a lot and they’re in a brilliant place to start a family.’

It’s not yet known how far along Fergie is, but the singer has been wearing noticeably oversized clothes for several weeks and is believed to be around three months pregnant.

While sharing childhood pictures of herself and Josh, Fergie announced her happy news on Twitter in mid-February.
“Josh & Me & BABY makes three,” she wrote, adding the hashtag, ‘#MyLovelyBabyBump’.

Fergie has been the subject of baby rumours for some time, and previously admitted the focus on her parenting plans was tough to cope with at times.

‘People ask me if I’m pregnant every time I fluctuate by a few pounds!’ she explained last year.

Fergie and Josh married in January 2009 after five years of dating.

Fergie has announced a new pea joining the pod.

The 37-year-old Black Eyed Peas singer tweeted the exciting news this afternoon.

“Josh 7 Me & BABY makes three!!! #mylovelybabybump” She included a photoshopped image of herself and husband Josh Duhamel as toddlers.

It will be the first child for the couple, who married in January 2009. The two have often talked about wanting to expand their family.

Duhamel, 40, said he hoped to one day have five children, but Fergie lowered his expectations.

“We negotiated that early on,” she said during an October 2012 appearance on Oprah’s Next Chapter. “Two is our number.” [Source]

Here’s a little-known fact: Before Stacy Ann “Fergie” Ferguson was a diva, she was a geek. Maybe it’s more accurate to say a wine-geek-to-be.

The Black Eyed Peas singer traces her earliest wine memories to childhood in Hacienda Heights in the San Gabriel Valley, around the time she was a budding talent on Kids Incorporated. Her parents devised a wine-themed parlor game for guests.

“They’d pour some wine with the bottle covered,” says Fergie, “and there’d be a sheet of paper with 10 descriptions on it. You’d have to match whatever you were drinking with the description.” Fergie says she loved to sneak a sip or two and compare her notes with the printed ones.

Her background is one of the motivations behind Ferguson Crest, the singer’s new wine venture with her father, Pat Ferguson, in the Santa Ynez Valley, just outside of Solvang’s bustling town center. It’s been a while since Fergie had any new material out, and considering she pretty much ruled the charts with her solo debut ‘The Dutchess,’ it’s not surprising that a lot of us are getting a little impatient. No worry — it’s on the way!

The ‘Fergalicious’ singer told Digital Spy that while she can’t confirm a date for her sophomore effort, it’s definitely in the works. “It will come, definitely,” she assured. “That’s a promise. When is something I can’t promise,” she admitted. “When it’s ready! I just want it to be great — I don’t want to rush anything out.”

What’ll it sound like? “I just want to something that’s real and feels organic and good. And that I’m proud of.”

In the meantime, Fergie’s working on promoting her fragrances and getting festive with hubby Josh Duhamel. She revealed on ‘Ellen’ that she and the ‘Transformers’ actor have a special, borderline TMI holiday tradition. “One day every holiday season, he comes home and there’s a naughty Mrs. Claus,” Fergie said. “It depends how good he’s being! Beauty brand Wet n Wild never had a celeb “face” until it chose Fergie as global brand ambassador in March, rolling out a Fergie nail polish line.

January will see the debut of Fergie for Wet n Wild, a 21-product line. “She picked all the colors,” says vp marketing Brian Talbot.

A typical Wet n Wild polish sells for less than a buck; Fergie’s cost three times that and have sold more than the past two years of Wet n Wild’s nail polish launches combined.

“After the nail sales, we decided to do a full Fergie line.”
