Fergie to return to Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve; Jason Derulo, Fall Out Boy, Jennifer Hudson, more to perform
A number of performers have today been announced for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve celebrations on ABC, fronted by none other than Ryan Seacrest.
It was confirmed a while back that Ryan Seacrest would front the celebrations once again this year, after he recently signed a new ‘multi-year-deal’. However today came the news that Jason Derulo and Robin Thicke are just a couple of names billed to take to the stage.
Whilst Ryan Seacrest will keep the party alight in Times Square, it has also been confirmed today that Black Eyed Peas member Fergie will host the West Coast party on Tuesday, December 31.
Jason Derulo, Fall Out Boy, Jennifer Hudson, Enrique Iglesias and Robin Thicke will all perform at the West Coast event. More names for both the East Coast and West Coast parties will be announced in due course, according to a press release issued by the network.
Fergie said about returning as the host: “As the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve legacy continues, it is an honor to be a part of the largest celebration of the year. I am excited to share the stage with so many global stars”. Read full article.

Like the Black Eyed Peas song, Fergie “Just Can’t Get Enough” of her new little baby son, Axl Jack. Stopping by The Ellen DeGeneres Show for an interview airing Wednesday, Nov. 20, the “Fergalicious” singer opens up about welcoming her first child with husband Josh Duhamel on Aug. 29 of this year.
“It was really special. It was very special,” the new mom tells DeGeneres of her C-section delivery. “I see Josh’s face. They’re pulling Axl out. I can’t feel anything. I’m all numb. And I see Josh, and he’s going, ‘Aw,’ and he’s giving the faces, and I’m going, ‘Wow, I’m so happy. This moment is so special, so tender…’”
And so loud? “I hear screaming,” Fergie, 38, recalls. “And over the side comes Axl, and he’s screaming at me, crying. And I went, ‘Okay, the name works.’”
Speaking of the name, the Black Eyed Peas singer says it came to her in a dream. “I had this dream, and I was in the audience at this festival,” she explains. “It was outdoors and it was all grimy and nobody knew who I was. I was just one of the fans. It was like the old days. It was so cool. And onstage singing was Jim Morrison. And then came Bob Marley, and then Axl Rose.” Read full article.
Fergie is a pro at writing hit songs, but her latest tunes are all for a special little someone — her 3-month-old son Axl Jack with husband Josh Duhamel.
“The songs that are written [lately are] little ditties and Josh and I sing them to our child,” the new mom, 38, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “They’re quite funny … we’re like that couple on Best In Show who sing to their pets about their pets … that’s how these songs are.”
The singer is launching the Unilever Project Sunlight campaign on Universal Children’s Day, which is providing school meals, safe drinking water and hygiene education to two million children.
“It’s such a special time,” says Fergie of celebrating with Axl. “It’s all new and every discovery is a new journey.”
One not-so-surprising discovery? Baby Axl is already musically inclined. “He is very responsive to the songs,” she shares. “He starts kicking and he’s smiling, and he tries to make noise and sing along. It’s amazing. He loves our songs!”
Though the singer is enjoying quality time with her new bundle of joy, she still has an empire to run and is learning how to balance being a working mom.
“I work from home on my footwear and my fragrance and my cosmetics company and the wine,” she says. “That’s easy because I can even be having a meeting and feeding my child at the same time.”
What she’s learned — and others have learned with her — is how to prioritize everything in her life. “I schedule time like I normally do to do emails and take meetings,” she says. “[But] if he’s awake and he’s got that smile on his face and he’s ready to learn, my emails go out the window.”
For now, she’s nesting at home with baby and enjoying the little milestones.
“He’s just smiling at us now and it’s just the best thing in the world,” she says. “It’s the best part of my day.” [Source]
“This Moment, It’s So Special, So Tender”
Fergie is thrilled to be a mom and was happy to gush about her son’s birth and reveal just how she came up with his name during a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres.
The “Fergalicious” singer has recently welcomed her first child Axl into the world with her gorgeous husband Josh Duhamel and the pop star has revealed that the name for her tiny tot appeared to her in a dream.
Stacy Ferguson, better known as Fergie, revealed to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday exactly how she came up with her baby’s name.
Fergie said, “I had this dream and I was in the audience at this festival. It was outdoors and it was all grimy and nobody knew who I was.”
“On stage singing was Jim Morrison and then came Bob Marley and then Axl Rose. I was in heaven in this dream and I’m dancing and just getting into the music.”
It was at that moment that her now 3-month-old son decided to partake in his mother’s dream and kicked her for the very first time.
The 38-year-old star revealed, “It was the first time my son kicked me in the stomach and it was like he was feeling the music with me. It was really beautiful and I woke Josh [Duhamel] up and I said, ‘Honey, honey, honey, he kicked me. He finally kicked me.’” Read full article.
